Obituary of Cyril Claude Lohnes

LOHNES, Cyril Claude – Age 88, of Upper Northfield and Scarsdale, Lunenburg Co., passed away Monday, July 3, 2017 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Upper Northfield, he was the son of the late Harvey Alonzo and Emma Ethelyne (Lohnes) Lohnes.

He is survived by nephews, Derek (Gale), Todd; niece, Michelle (James Temple); sister-in-law, Matilda Lohnes; five great nieces and special cousins throughout Canada and the United States.

He was predeceased by brothers, Hilton, Cedric, James and Cameron. The family would like to thank Cheryl and the Lohnes Rest Home in Scarsdale and staff of South Shore Regional Hospital for their compassion and care for Cyril.

Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Thursday, July 6 in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater.  A public graveside service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, July 7 in Hillside Cemetery, Upper Northfield, with Pastor Adam Snook officiating. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Asthma Society of Canada or a charity of choice.
