To Elizabeth and David's family and extended family, sending my love and prayers as you grieve his loss.
So hard, but being surrounded by your family members, is priceless. He will never really be gone, you know. He leaves you all to care for each other. And that will make you stronger.
I am sending regrets as I will not be able to attend the funeral today as I had hoped.
Always
Dawn ❤️

Bernadette, Lee, Vincent and Lorne - I was shocked and saddened when George told me of David's passing. I saw him only a few weeks ago and he was great. I will remember him fondly for his "down memory lane" at the Dayspring School reunion. He will be missed not only by his family but for all his community work that he took part in doing. He will always be with you in the memories and they will help you through this difficult time. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Marilyn (Bush) Brandal

David's life is a special gift to me. He is one of the few people in my life who moved me to action. David "walked -the-talk"; He did not just "talk-the-talk". He became an example to me by visiting the sick and always involved in our church. Since Nancy and I moved here in 2010, David really became my closest friend here in Petite Reviere. I joined the IOOF Lodge because of his example.
David sang in our church choir. As musicians we shared a love for Gospel music and we performed together in various events. I thought of David in Nashville and brought him a couple cd's of great Gospel performers I saw while visiting Nashville. David was always sharing video's and sheet music of his favorite Gospel music for us to feature in the church choir.
Nancy and I love David dearly. Nancy said appropriately; "Our little community is probably unaware of how much David contributed to us and how dearly we all will miss David".

To the Fraser Family
We would like to express our sympathy for the loss of David. So many times we have enjoyed your wonderful property/pond taking photos of David's pink water lilies.
We took our children there and now we take our grandchildren and their friends to see these beautiful flowers. They are well known in our family.
The children know your property well.
We are so sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time.

We moved to Petite in March 2003. I started having coffee at the local store, where several of the local men use to meet when the store opened at 8am. We sat in the side room and shared stories. David was there often. I used to really enjoy his stories, especially about his working life. I got to know both Elizabeth & David more when I used to pickup and drop off Quinton & Noah at their home every weekday with the school bus. These 2 boys were excellant boys and loved anything to do with the military. Last Thursday at Chruch Coffee, David and I had a lengthy conversation about day to day stuff, some about his morning habits and rituals and his cat. He loved wildlife, and was always faithful to feed the ducks + around his pond every day. I use to look forward to seeing him {not so recently} trim his tall hedge. It always looked perfect. David, A Friend, A Gentleman, A Husband and A grandfather, and many more hats I'm sure he wore very well....I will miss you my friend. I life well lived. Rest In Peace

Such fond memories of David and his family on Spike's Hill in Petite. Skating on the pond, the horses running in the fields, Fall apples, and that perfectly trimmed hedge. Condolences to Elizabeth, Andrea, Tammy, and Drew.
