Obituary of George Foster Lohnes

LOHNES, George Foster – Age 72, Hebbs Cross, Lunenburg Co., passed away on Friday, September 1, 2017 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Garnet and Frances (McGrath) Lohnes.

Surviving are his wife, Kathryn (Hebb); daughter, Jessica (Adam) Sarty, Conquerall Mills; sons, Edward (Terriann) Lohnes, New Germany; Matthew, Edmonton; Solomon, Hebbs Cross; grandchildren, Grace and Izaak Sarty, ShayLynn and Kenna Carver-Lohnes; sisters, Beverley Lohnes Smith (Garfield Slauenwhite), Roberta (Willis) Mosher, all of Nineveh; Darlene (Whynot), Sackville; several nieces and nephews.

No visitation at the funeral home by request. A public graveside service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, September 8 in Christ Lutheran Cemetery, Camperdown. Rev. Willis Ott officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to South Shore Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit or charity of choice.
