Not only was I fortunate enough to go to school with Geoff I also had the good fortune to work with him at both Saunders Motors and at Michelin, to say he was a hard working, intelligent and genuine person is a severe understatement. Geoff's love for his family and for life in general should be something we all try to emulate in our own lives, he was certainly someone to look up to, he will be greatly missed. Condolences to his family during this difficult time.

I am very sorry to hear that your lives are touched by the passing of your loved one. I had some connection with your family and am praying that you will find some comfort in the fact that so many people are supporting you at this time of great sorrow. I will fondly remember the time during summer camp that we spent together. You always cared and treated everyone as if they were family. It was no different for me. It's probably been two decades since I've spoken to Geoff. But who could ever forget his giant spirit and that warm smile? Everyone in PVEC, regardless of what "group" you belonged to, could always count on Geoff. Whether you were a wrestler, in the band, whether you spent your lunch hours in the gym playing ball or in the smoking section, Geoff treated you the same. Few people had the school spirit that he had. I suspect that came from his family who always seemed to make it to sporting events. And when I heard that he married Stacey, well, I was not surprised. Like Geoff, Stacey was always smiling. Stacey was incredibly kind and authentic and just lovely to everyone, regardless of their "group". When I heard Geoff was sick, I just assumed he'd beat it. Geoff was strong. He was tough. So to learn he didn't, I feel incredibly sad. We need more of what Geoff offered the world; that kindness, that smile, that feeling that he gave you that, whether you were in his "group" or not, he had your back. I didn't know him well, but I will tell my teenage sons about the guy who I went to school with who was probably the nicest guy in school who married probably the nicest girl in school. Go figure! He liked everyone and everyone liked him. He had more school spirit than anyone I knew. I will tell them that he died far too soon, and even two decades later, when I thought of him, I smiled. I am thinking of you all with a very heavy heart.
