Obituary of Bertha Joyce McNeil

MCNEIL, Bertha Joyce-Age 70, Upper Branch, Lunenburg Co., passed away on Monday, December 4, 2017 at home. Born in Stonehurst, she was a daughter of the late King and Maisae (Knickle) Tanner. Bertha was a dedicated mother and best friend to her husband of 52 years, Wally.  She is survived by her loving husband, Wally McNeil; children, Madelene (Richard) Williams, White Point;  Faron McNeil, Alberta; sisters, Wendy (Joel) Tanner, Stonehurst;  Bonnie  Milton, (Avery) Middlewood; Agnes Tanner, Harbourview Haven, Lunenburg; Joyce Tanner,(Raymond) Wileville; brother, Lewis (Shirley) Tanner, Dayspring; six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Barry Tanner. There will be no visitation or funeral service at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
