Obituary of Mona Ellen Herman

Herman, Mona Ellen –Age 79 of Italy Cross, passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2018 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born August 29, 1939, she was a daughter of the late William and Kathleen (Tanner) Smith. Mona was a long -time member of the ladies auxiliary of the Italy Cross Middlewood and District Fire Department. She served for 27 years, with honorary status the last 5 years. She is survived by her husband, Maxwell; daughters, Rosemary (William Duhart) Herman, Midville Branch; Kathleen (Ronald Whynot) Herman, Bridgewater; sons, Brian (Anita) Herman, East Port Medway; Jeffery (Harold)Herman, Timberlea; sisters, Carolyn (George)Doering, Conquerall Mills; grandchildren, Gus, Sarah, Hannah, Holly, Jason, Angela, Kyle, Lee; several great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday, September 17, from 2-4 pm, and 7-9 pm in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 18, at 2 pm in St. Matthias Anglican Church Cemetery, Italy Cross. Donations in Mona’s memory may be made to a charity of choice.
