Jonathon was my supervisor at the Michelin Bridgewater plant while I was a work term student this past fall. Needless to say when I learned of Jonathon’s passing upon returning home to Newfoundland I was shocked. Even though I only knew Jonathon for a short period of time, it was very easy to tell how kind a gentleman he was. He always had time to have a chat and to help me out in any way neccesary. That is something I found very admirable simply given how involved Jonathon was in his work.
I am sure his loss is felt very heavily by the team at Michelin. I can attest to this having been a part of the team for four months. He was truly the salt of the earth and my experience in Bridgewater was enriched by him having been my mentor.
I extend my deepest condolences to Jonathon’s family at this time. I cannot imagine how difficult this loss is. I wanted to share my experience in the hopes that it will bring some comfort at this difficult time.
Sincerely,
Alex Johnson

My sincerest condolences to the Haddock family. I only knew Johnathon from Michelin, but I'm sure he wasn't any different at home. Very supportive and a wealth of knowledge. He was a great advisor for me personally and I am definitely going to miss our chats. He will most certainly be missed by many and not soon to be forgotten. RIP my friend.

I offer my sincere and deepest sympathy to all members of Jonathan's family as you grieve the terrible loss of such a special person. My first meeting of Jonathan was when he was a student at NSCC, and we at Michelin hired him as a summer student in the maintenance shop I was part of at the time. From the very beginning, there was no doubt that even as a young man he was a very special and talented individual. Over the years I have had the privilege to spend time and work with him, and watch him develop into a highly respected individual and leader. I have told the story so many times of how proud I am of him, not only for his accomplishments, abilities, and work ethic, but also for the way he conducted himself everyday and the positive influence he had on everyone around him. We (I) will miss him. Find comfort and peace in the days ahead with the "good memories" of Jonathan, the moments when a smile will come to your face as we remember and celebrate his life. God bless.

I know that you would not know me, however I knew Jonathan quite well through his work life. I was Jonathan's direct boss for a few years and actually the one had him promoted to maintenance supervisor.
It is rare that a person can be promoted from the floor to a supervisory position of their peers and not have some backlash from co-workers. However that was indeed the case with Jonathan, there was never a negative word over Jonathan's promotion. Contrarily, it was just the opposite. I actually had several people drop by my office to express to me what a great choice that he was, from is peers, to production supervisors, to other managers within the department. All to say how deserving he was.
So everyone could now see, what those of us who worked with him everyday already knew.
I could not have made a better choice for someone to lead a group, someone respected by those who worked for him, by those he worked for ,and by those he worked with..
Although he left us much too soon I want you to know, that he touched many lives not just those of family, in a very special way.
I know that Jonathan was a wonderful family guy, an awesome co-worker, a great leader, and a wonderful friend.
We are very fortunate to of had him be part of our lives for as long as we had him.
He will be missed by all of us.
On behalf of his many friends and co-worker please accept our deepest condolences.

Sharon, Dave and Boys: Gentle hugs to you all. I cannot imagine how your hearts must ache. It's not suppose to be this way. I miss our time at the canteen in Black Point. Jonathan followed his grandfather Roy everywhere and cleaned the taps til they shined. *smiles. Wishing you all strength and courage to put him to rest but keep his spirit alive. He'll always be with you....every time you clean the taps. With so much love and warm light., Larry and Tina </3
