Obituary of Karl Dale McNutt
Karl McNutt passed away peacefully at the QEII Health Science Center in Halifax, N. S. on Wednesday, January 9th, 2019 surrounded by his family. Born on September 4th, 1960 in Halifax, he was a son of the late Arthur McNutt and Helen D’heurvel. Karl leaves behind his wife Michelle; daughter, Taylor (Colin) and son, Ian; brother Brian (Brenda); Mother and Father in- law, Gordon and Shirley Neal and several nieces and nephews.
Karl was a member of IATSE Local 849 and Local 873. Over his lifetime Karl made many friends. Friends would tell you that Karl lived his life to the fullest and always had a story or 2 to tell. He loved to make people laugh. Karl was a devoted family man. His greatest pride and joy were his children. He worked tirelessly to make sure that his family was looked after. Although he spent many years living and working in Toronto, the East Coast was always in his thoughts and 3 years ago, he made the decision to move back to Nova Scotia, the province that he called home and loved so much. He could often be found puttering around in his barn working on his next masterpiece while listening to tunes, or just sitting and observing all that nature had to offer.
He was predeceased by his Mother, Father, Step-Father, sister, Karen and brothers, Gary and Tim. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held later. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
