Obituary of David Stuart Giles

Giles, David Stuart -Age 91 of Halifax, formerly of England, passed away Saturday, March 16 in Ryan Hall, Bridgewater. Born on December 26, 1927, he was a son of the late Rolph and Amy Giles. He is survived by his daughter, Nicola Clarke, Greenfield; son, Richard (Kim) Giles, Waterdown; grandchildren, Jeff (Lindsay), Bridgewater; Cory (Mikaela), Halifax; Sean (Makayla), Halifax; Ryan, Waterdown, Ontario; Tim (Ashley), Oakville, Ontario; Sarah (Brent) Mississauga, Ontario; great-grandchildren, Blair, Keegan, Max and Nate; nieces, Gillian and Elizabeth, both of England. He was predeceased by his wife, Sheila and sisters, Margery and Muriel.

David loved golf and curling. He enjoyed spending winters in Florida with his wife, Sheila. Family was very important to David, and he always put his family first. A private family service will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in David’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of choice.
