Obituary of Mildred Leta Jordan

Mildred Leta(Morash) Jordan

82, of Scarsdale (recently of northwest),   passed after an extended illness at Fisherman’s Memorial Hospital March 19th,2019.

Millie was a devoted wife and a loving mother,  raising 3 children while following her military careered husband from one side of the country to the other.  She worked for many years as a nurse’s aide prior to retiring to their country home with her husband and her mother  for a quiet life.  In her younger years she loved to have a crowd drop in for an impromptu meal,  always making unexpected guests feel welcomed, and at home.

She was the daughter of the late James and Helen Morash.   She will be lovingly remembered and missed by daughter Cheryl ( Terry ) DeBaie , Mahone Bay. She was a very loving and giving grandmother to Jason Jordan,   Alicia and Brianna Belliveau, and also Shawn and Shane Jordan.  She also leaves behind extended family members  Linda Proudfoot and Sharon Hennigar. She was predeceased by her husband Victor,   sons   James and Wesley (Sherry Armstrong).  She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, having been preceded by brothers James and Blair, as well as sisters Coryl and Dale(Fraser Betts).

She suffered physically as well as memory decline in recent years and her world became smaller and lonelier. We give thanks to the homecare staff, VON,  and staff at both SSRH and FMH for their commitment to caring for my mom.

No Flowers by request, donations can be made to the Canadian Arthritis Society or Alzheimer’s Society Canada.   Cremation has taken place.  There will be no service or memorial at her request

“ I was her angel, now she is mine”
