Obituary of Vida Isabel Greek
Greek, Vida Isabel- age 81 from Grimm Settlement, passed away September 12 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born August 24, 1938 in Liverpool, she was a daughter of the late Herbert and Maude (Wambolt) Clattenburg. She is survived by daughters, Carol Whare, Blue Rocks; Wendy (Douglas) Greek-Murphy, Centre; son, Kenneth (Wendy) Farmer, Port Medway; sisters, Shirley Whynot, Port Medway; Barbara Chute, London, Ontario; grandchildren, Jason, Selina, Kendall, Crystal; great grandchildren, Patrick, Bailey, Hayzen, Joseph, Ally, Hailey Violet Jai, Rhuen; great-great grandchild, Elsie; many nieces and nephews.
Vida was predeceased by common-law husband, Bernie Spindler; sisters, Doris Moreau, Geraldine Moreau, Jean Clattenburg and infant Beatrice; brother, Carmen Clattenburg, nephew, Richard Moreau; sister in-law, Shirley; brothers in-law, Roy, Byron Lemuel and Linwood.
Vida enjoyed picking berries in the woods, gardening and puzzles. She was very fond of her cats, Happy and Lois.
A memorial service will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, September 21 in Holy Redeemer Anglican Church, Port Medway. Interment to follow in Holy Redeemer Anglican Church Cemetery. A reception will follow at the home of Ken and Wendy Farmer, 46 Roxbury Dr. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of choice.
