Obituary of Audrey Jean Cross

CROSS, Audrey Jean (Foley) – age 95 of Bridgewater passed away October 13, 2019 in Heart to Heart Home Care, Chester Basin. 

Born in Bridgewater, she was a daughter of the late Carl and Viola (Woodworth) Foley.  During her working years, she was a bookkeeper for LaHave Creamery for 28 years.  Audrey was a kind and thoughtful person who was always there to help in any situation if wanted.  She loved nature, gardening, the ocean, and travelling all from which she derived much inspiration.  In travelling she did some in the U.S.A., spent two weeks in Bermuda and toured six countries in Europe.  She was also a crossword puzzle enthusiast.  Audrey supported several organizations as well as two hospitals in which her husband had been a patient.  She was a former member of the Bridgewater Baptist Church.  Audrey was the last surviving member of a family of seven.  She is survived by Martin Redden, Frances DuFour and several other nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by husband, Harold; brothers, Ronald, Gordon, and brother Normie in infancy; sisters, Margaret Redden, Marion Marlin, Pauline Levy. 

At Audrey’s request, there will be no funeral or visitation.  A private committal service will be held in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater at a later date.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater.
