Obituary of Blake Andrew LeBlanc

LeBLANC, Blake A.  – age 52 of Halifax, formerly of Bridgewater passed away suddenly on Tuesday, November 5, at 8:30am in the QE2 Hospital, Halifax.  Born in Bridgewater, he was a son of Ron and Jane LeBlanc, Pentz, Lunenburg Co.

Besides his parents, Blake leaves behind his wife Clare (Kotchea); brother, Clarke (Supattra), Phuket, Thailand; many cousins as well as lifelong friends, Scott O’Neill and Stephen DeWolfe (P.E.I.).

Travelling to the Northwest Territories with his wife was the highlight of his life experiences.  Blake worked in remote camps for several years before returning home to spend more time with family and friends.  Blake's favorite leisure activity included racing his remote-control car at the KOA campgrounds, small weekend wood projects and his love of cooking and annual cookouts.  His love for life showed in everything he did and being with family and friends that he held in his heart. His memory will continue to live on in our hearts.

At Blake’s request, cremation has taken place.  There will be no visitation or funeral service at this time.

We would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses at the QE2, Halifax who cared for Blake during his time in the hospital.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater where online condolences may be made by visiting www.sweenysfuneralhome.com
