Obituary of Ronald Wayne McCarthy

McCarthy, Ronald Wayne – Age 76 of Bridgewater, passed away peacefully October 9, 2020 at his home in Bridgewater, where he wanted to be. Born in Bridgewater on July 26, 1944, he was a son of the late Russell and Audrey McCarthy. Ronald is survived by his wife of 56 years, Gloria; son, Steven; daughter, Angela; granddaughter, Sophia; brother, Jack; special niece, Debbie. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sister, Grace; brothers, Merrill and Keith.

Ron was a truck driver most of his life, employed at Ready Mix for 32 years until his retirement in 2017. He enjoyed the Bridgewater Exhibition, especially the ox pulls and antique cars. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and having coffee at the plaza. He will be forever missed, always loved.

There will be no service as per request. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ronald’s memory may be made to the Palliative Care Unit of Health Services Foundation of the South Shore, The Canadian Cancer Society or The Rose Fund.
