In Loving Memory of Denis Claude Gignac

December 21, 1951 – June 9, 2021

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Denis Claude Gignac, loving father, brother, uncle, and friend.  Denis will be lovingly remembered by his children, Cassandra (Matt) and Jonathan, his grandchildren who he adored, Chase, Winnifred, and Arthur; his sisters, Yolande, and Denise (Jim) as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  Denis was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Fabianna and his siblings, Madeleine, Muriel, and Rick.

Denis was born in Welland, ON, worked most of his life at Lafarge in Exshaw, AB and enjoyed his retirement in Pleasantville, NS.   Two of his favorite pastimes were playing cribbage and working as a backyard mechanic, always tinkering.

Cremation has taken place.  A private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  Memorial donations may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion and the IWK Hospital in Halifax.  Condolences, memories, or photos may be shared at Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater by visiting www.sweenysfuneralhome.com.
