Obituary of David Brian Manuel

Manuel, David Brian

 48 of Chelsea

With heavy hearts and deep sadness, we mourn the sudden passing of David Brian Manuel as the result of an accident on June 28, 2022. Born in Bridgewater, NS, he was the son of Dr. Brian (Janet) Manuel and Luella King. He is survived by his wife and life partner of 28 years Michelle (Eisner), son Lucas and daughter Jessie; sisters Carrie (Steve) Ernst, Sarah (Shane)King, brother Ian (Anne), Brother-in-law Kim Eisner, and sister-in-law Jackie (Jamieson) Smith; mother-in-law Linda, nephews and nieces Brennan, Meaghan, Brady, Katie, Kayser, Liam, Ella, Jaylyn, Jessa and Jersey. David is predeceased by his paternal grandparents Graham and Anne Manuel and maternal grandparents Stanley and Lillian King and father-in-law Keith Eisner.

David spent his working career as an exceptional heavy equipment operator, who worked for many years with Mosher Motors. David worked hard and played harder. His gregarious personality filled a room with his presence and laughter. His love for his family and friends alike was something that everyone that knew him felt. From an early age, David had a love for fishing, the outdoors, and anything with a motor.  If it was broken and David couldn’t fix it, it couldn’t be fixed ever!!! He was at his happiest when fishing in Moosecove or driving the trails with his crew.

David has left an imprint on the lives of family, friends, and colleagues. We are all better for knowing and loving him. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at 2 pm at Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 35 York Street, Bridgewater. Rev. Willis Ott officiating.  Masks will be required to attend the service.  A celebration of life will be held to honor David at a later date. Donations in David’s memory may be made to The Arthritis Society of Nova Scotia or the All-Terrain Vehicle Association of Nova Scotia.  Online condolences and donations may be made by visiting www.sweenysfuneralhome.com.
