Obituary of Marion Ismae Oldham
Marion Ismae Oldham
It is with shock and great sorrow that the family announce the passing of Marion Ismae Oldham at South
Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater on Wednesday February 15, 2023. Born in Shelburne on April 17, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Randall and Hazel (Saunders) DesChamp. She lived most of her life in Halifax with her late husband Roy Oldham, moving to Bridgewater in 2020. She worked at Sears Bargain Center for many years and had lots of stories concerning those days. She was predeceased by her oldest son, Roy Oldham Jr; her daughter Patricia Oldham. She leaves to mourn her son Jeffery and daughter in law MaryAnn Oldham, Bridgewater; grandson Jason Oldham and his partner Julia, grandson Liam Oldham, all of Halifax, and many special nieces and nephews. Marion was a little Lady who had a big heart of gold and will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. She liked nothing better than to curl up with a good book or on one of her many puzzles. There will be a graveside service later this year in Shelburne. Donations may be made to S.H.A.I.D. Tree Animal Shelter here in Bridgewater.
Thanks goes to the staff of Emergency and on the third floor of South Shore Regional Hospital for their
compassion and great care shown to Mom, and to us during this sad time, and as well, thanks to all our friends and family who helped us get through these last few days, Jeff, MaryAnn, Jason and Julia.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 35 York Street, Bridgewater. Online condolences and donations may be made by visiting www.sweenysfuneralhome.com.
