Obituary of Rhoda Pearl Stanford

Rhoda Pearl Stanford, Dauphinee (Zwicker) Age 96 of Bridgewater, passed away on March 3, 2023 at Shoreham Village, Chester, Nova Scotia.  Born in Lapland, she was a daughter of the late Enoch and Blanche (Whynot) Zwicker of Lapland. She was a volunteer for the Red Cross Society in Bridgewater for many years at one time serving as President. She was a member of Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Bridgewater and very active in the Ladies’ Auxiliary there for many years.  She was an artist, loved to garden and sew. She is survived by son, Bennett Dauphinee (Valerie); daughters, Jane Wile and Charlotte Dauphinee; grandchildren, Scott, Justin, Jennifer, Prudence and Jillian and her great grandchildren as well as her sister Anne Tanner. She was predeceased by her first husband Albert Dauphinee; second husband Robert Stanford; daughter, Carolyn Silver; brothers, Stanley, Murray, Bertrum, Lealand; sisters Lettie, Doris and an infant sister. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral home, 35 York Street, Bridgewater. There will be no visitation by request.  A Funeral Service will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, March 11 in Sweeny's Funeral Home, Bridgewater, Rev. Simon Davies Officiating.  Private Family interment will be held at a later date. A special thanks to the staff of Shoreham Village for the excellent care they provided. No flowers by request. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Red Cross or S.H.A.I.D. Animal Shelter.
