Obituary of Nolan William Munroe

Nolan (Sonny) William Munroe passed away on August 20, 2023, at the young age of 83.  Sonny fought courageously a lengthy battle with cancer to the very end.  Born to William and Freda Munroe, survived by siblings, twin sister, Norma, Diane, John, Paulette, Linda, and late brother, David.  He leaves behind the love of his life, Diane, for over 62 years.  Loving father of Todd (Rosemary), Tracey (Brian) and Terilee (Steve), foster dad to Audrey Lowe and Susan Tanner; proud Grampy to Ben (Leah), Kyle, Alana, Paige, and Matthew; great grandfather to Rylee, Madison, Lily, Jackson, and special Giggy to Joli, Will-Jay, Mira- Kole and Tristan-Lee.  We are grateful to all of the medical team for their tremendous care.  A special thank-you to all of our many friends for their love and support.  Sonny made such a mark on everyone who was lucky to know him.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 35 York Street, Bridgewater.  As per Sonny’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Rose Fund.  Online condolences may be made by visiting www.sweenysfuneralhome.com.
