Obituary of William John Adams

ADAMS, William John – age 83 of Bridgewater, passed away October 21, 2023, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater.  Born September 15, 1940, in Dunnville, Ontario, he is a son of the late George and Margaret Adams (nee Goodfellow).  Surviving are his wife, Carroll Elizabeth Adams (nee Jenkins); son, Christopher John Adams (Nicole), Napanee, Ontario; brother, Richard Adams (Barbara), Dunnville, Ontario, granddaughter, Sophia Butler.  William was raised in Dunnville, and moved to Huntsville, Ontario in 1970.  He worked for 31 years in the retail clothing business, and the with his wife Carroll, successfully started Sandhill Nursery in Huntsville.  Upon retirement, Bill and Carroll moved to Nova Scotia in 2000.  In his spare time, Bill enjoyed gardening and travelling.

Arrangements Have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 35 York Street, Bridgewater.  There will be no visitation or service held at this time.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice.  Online condolences and donations may be made by visiting www.sweenysfuneralhome.com.
