Obituary of Robert Eldridge Feener
Robert Eldridge Feener – age 94 - born February 22, 1929, to Mark & Francis (Veinot) Feener.
The family is saddened to announce that Robert passed away February 14, 2024, slightly before his 95th birthday at Harbourview Haven Nursing Home.
Before moving to Harbourview Haven in November 2022, Robert lived his entire life on the family farm in Farmington. In his younger years, he was always willing to lend a helping hand to neighbors while looking after his own animals, farm, and woodlot. He could tinker with any old piece of equipment and make it suit his needs. Robert loved all animals, especially his small dog, Major and more recently cat, Willie. Even though Robert loved a good chat or debate, he lived a very simple life, content in his own company. A true country boy at heart.
He is predeceased by his parents, brothers Lawrence and Raeburn and sister Claire. Robert is survived by sister in-law, Margaret Feener; nephew Michael Feener; nieces JoAnne Barry, Jane Blackburn, and Susan Beamish.
As per Robert’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. A family gathering will be held at a later date to say goodbyes at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, New Germany.
