Obituary of Murray Silver

Murray William Silver 85, of Oakhill, Lunenburg County, passed away March 7, 2001 at the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Oakhill, he was the son of the late William and Sadie (MacKay) Silver. He was an honorary member of the Oakhill and District Fire Dept.. He was a member of Kiwanis Golden “K” Club and a member of the Senior Wheels Association. Throughout his life he was an active fiddler in the musical community. He is survived by a step-daughter Heather Whitehead (Keith), Dartmouth; two grandsons; sisters Louise (Bunty) Feindel, Oakhill; Joan Wile (Buddy), Wileville; nephew Jimmy Silver, Oakhill; and various other nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Marion brothers James, Harold, and a sister Lina. Visitation will be held today from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Bridgewater, Rev. James Slack Jr. officiating. Interment to follow in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to Senior Wheels Association, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, or to any charity.
