Obituary of Reverend Gary Arthur Leavitt

Reverend Gary Arthur Leavitt (71) went home to be with his Lord & Saviour on Oct. 23, 2012. Rev. Leavitt served as a pastor with the PAOC for many years, building new churches & helping others to flourish by boldly preaching the uncompromising truth of the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Gary is survived by his wife Ethelwyn (Hodgins) Leavitt (Bridgewater), his daughter Debra (David) Hillier (Bridgewater) & son Barry (Halifax). Gary is also survived by sisters Louise (Lloyd) McDonald of Ottawa, Hazel (Eric) Hume of Moncton, Linda (Bernard) Grandy of Halifax & brothers Allison (Jasmin) of Trinidad & Randy (Gail) of Winnipeg. Gary was predeceased by his parents Arthur & Rachel (French) Leavitt of Back Bay NB & by his brother Ancil. Visitation to take place at Sweeney’s Funeral Home in Bridgewater on Friday Oct 26 from 7-9 pm, with the funeral service to be held at the New Life Christian Church, Elm St. in Bridgewater on Sat.
