Obituary of Carol Patrica Lee

Carol Patrica Lee (Fraser) It is with sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of a Mother, Grandmother, sister, and friend, Carol Lee, on January 21 at the age of 66. Born in Sydney January 7, 1946, she was the daughter of the late William and Edith (MacIntyre) Fraser. Carol grew up in Sydney, being raised by her sister Shirley and brother in-law Donnie. Carol moved to Halifax in the mid sixties, and then to Bridgewater in 1971, and most recently resided in Mahone Bay. She worked for many years with Scotia Bank, Canterbury Real Estate, and most recently worked as a compassionate caregiver to Mrs. King. She became a wonderful and loving mother to sons, Darryl and Dwight. She was a loving and fun Grandmother to Olivia, Anna Marie, and Cameron. Carol will be remembered for her compassion, and her natural ability to touch the lives of so many of us. Carol loved music and dancing. Carol was a member of the South Shore Hiking Club, and was very active in the community. In recent years Carol loved to travel, and was so grateful for the chance to visit Cuba, and travel across Canada also visiting England, and France having lunch in the Eifel Tower. She is survived by her sons; Darryl (Melanie) Calgary, Alberta, Dwight (Nicole) Hammonds Plains; Grandchildren; Olivia, Anna Marie, and Cameron; Siblings, Sheliah (John) Munroe, New Glasgow; Geraldine, Toronto; Phyllis, Ottawa; nieces Georgie Lynn, Halifax; Edith Jean; Paula, Halifax; Dawn Marie, Dartmouth. Besides her parents she was predeceased by sisters Shirley, and Donna; Brother Harold. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Sweeny’s Funeral Home Bridgewater. Visitation will be Wednesday from 7-9pm in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Memorial service will be 2pm Thursday at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bridgewater. Deacon Patrick Morris officiating.
