Obituary of Lorna Eliza Mailman

Lorna Eliza Mailman 96, Bridgewater, Lunenburg Co., passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2012 in Rosedale Home for Special Care, New Germany. Born, May 28, 1915 in New Germany, she was a daughter of the late Clarence Elwood and Evelena (Lohnes) Meisner. Lorna never worked outside the home but was always ready to take care of her many nieces and nephews; a heart of gold, she was always ready with a helping hand when needed. Lorna was always appreciative of the recognition made to her each year as a Masonic widow from Hillcrest Masonic Lodge, New Germany. Left to mourn, brother, Lowell Meisner, Ontario; niece, Barbara (Joe) Hebb, Bridgewater who loved and took care of Lorna for many years until she went to reside at Rosedale Home for Special Care last February; she also has several other nieces and nephews, special friends Sharon (Paul) Stone and her “Bridgewater grandson”, Ryan. Lorna was predeceased by husband, Dalton Mailman; sisters, Pauline Conrad, Ethel Power, Dorothy Oickle; brother, Gerald Meisner. Visitation beginning at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater and where funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. Rev. Ivan Norton officiating.
