Obituary of George Sarty

George Herbert Sarty Of Edmonton / Pleasantville, June 3, 1920 to October 8, 2007, passed away at Kipnes Centre for Veterans in Edmonton, Alberta. Born in Pleasantville NS, he was a son of the late John and Effie (Cleversey) Sarty. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was a veteran of the Second World War and legion member. He worked construction and cattle farming in Alberta. He was predeceased by sisters, Miriam and Kathleen; brothers, Dana, Miledge, Max and Robert. His remains were brought to Nova Scotia by long time caring friends, George and Mary Stott and were scattered at West LaHave Cemetery.
