Obituary of Lorraine Edward Andrew Naas

Lorraine Edward Andrew Naas 65, passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2012. A lifelong resident of Newburne, he was the son of the late Dennis and Grace (Joudrey) Naas. He retired from the Department of Transportation in 2006 to spend more time with his family and to work in the woods. As a young man, he enjoyed playing hockey, pulling tug-of-war and riding his Harley. In his later years, he enjoyed playing cards, gardening, fishing and watching hockey and baseball, but he was the happiest when he was spending time in the woods or with his family. He loved spending time with his grandsons and was looking forward to the arrival of his first granddaughter. Lorraine will be sadly missed by all those who knew him, especially, his loving wife and best friend, of 36 years, Deborah Ann (Young); daughter, Nadine (Darrell) MacKay, Cole Harbour; son, Darren (Elizabeth), Stony Plain, AB; grandsons, Kohen, Carter and Colby; brothers, Beverley (Julia), Cornwall; Moyle (Venita), Barss Corner; Paul, Newburne; sisters, Frances Zwicker, Walden; Muriel (Ross) Aulenback, Burlington, ON; sister in law, Nora Nauss, New Germany; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Douglas, Darrell, James and John. Visitation 7-9 p.m., Sunday in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 4895 route 10, New Germany, where funeral service will be 11 a.m., Monday. Rev.
