David Alan Ramey
Of Chester Grant, formerly of Crousetown, Lunenburg Co., passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at the age of 64. Born in Crousetown he was a son of the late Owen Maxwell Benjamin and Doris Eileen (Bell) Ramey, whom he loved dearly. He was an accountant, working for Thorne and Ridell and then later for R.C. Veinot Ltd. His last years were as a property manager and caretaker for a number of estates. He was a volunteer fireman for the Crousetown Fire Department; he was also a member of the Kinsmen club; he was an associate member of the Royal Canadian Legion, branch 24, Bridgewater. He was a member of St. Mary's Anglican Church, Crousetown. He was involved in many fundraising events in the community of Crousetown. He loved to fish and travel and was an avid painter and woodworker. His love of his two daughters was undeniable and insurmountable. He is survived by daughters, Jillian Elizabeth Ramey, Lunenburg; Charlotte Alexandra Ramey, Charlottetown; wife, Linda Marie (Nunn) Ramey, Seffernville; very special aunt, Elizabeth "Betty" Conrad, Crousetown; several cousins. He was predeceased by an infant son. No visitation at the funeral home by request. Service of Remembrance will be 2 p.m., Sunday, February 26 in St. Marry's Anglican Church, Crousetown. Rev. Alvin Westgate officiating. A private family interment will follow in Crousetown Community Cemetery, Crousetown. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater.
