Obituary of Marcus Wifred Robar
Marcus Wilfred Robar
72, North River, Lunenburg Co., passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at home in North River. Born, March 27, 1940 in North River, he was a son of the late Wilfred and Mary (Sarty) Robar. Marcus was a general laborer for many of his working years for Lou Naugler’s Lumbermill, Bowater Mersey Co., Murray Robar Forestry and Department of Transportation. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, North River and Royal Canadian Legion branch 102, New Germany. Surviving are sisters, Esther Robar (Gordon Mader), Janet (Donald) Doucette, all of North River; Florence Acker, Bridgewater; brother, Paul (Judy) Robar, North River; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sister, Ruth (Vernon) Veinot; nephew, Adam. No visitation by request. Service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, April 19, in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, North River. Rev. David Whynot officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. No flowers by request. Donations may be made to St. Paul’s Cemetery fund or charity of choice.
