Obituary of Kathleen Nora Smith

Kathleen Nora Smith 93 of Bridgewater passed away November 12, 2012 in Bridgewater, NS. Born in Stonehurst NS, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Ellen (White) Tanner. Kathleen is survived by her daughters Mona (Max) Herman, Italy Cross; Carolyn (George) Doering, Conquerall Mills, Sisters Irene (Jr.) Nodding, Back Harbour Lunenburg; Barbara, Alberta. Grandchildren Greg Banks, Bridgewater; Stephen Banks, Conquerall Mills, Lloyd Doering, Lake Center; Rodney Doering, New Minus; Brian (Rose) Herman, Cherry Hill; Rosemary Herman(William Duhart), Midville Branch; Kathleen Herman (Ronald Whynot) Italy Cross, Jeffery Herman (Harold Morash), Timberlea. Many great grand children, Alex and Jakob Doering, both of Bridgewater; several great- great grand children; many nieces and nephews. Special daughters Tara Wright, and Debbie Follett, both of Bridgewater. Beside her parents Kathleen was predeceased by her husband W. Eric Smith, her companion of many years, Maurice Eagle, one sister Bertha Beck, a nephew Kenneth Nodding. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-4, and 7-9 pm, funeral service Friday at 2pm both at Sweeny’s Funeral Home, York St., Bridgewater with Rev. Eleanor Scarlett officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater. Flowers accepted. Memorial donations can be made to the Parkinson Foundation of NS, Hillside Pines Home for Special Care, or charity of choice.
