Obituary of Audrey Jean Swinamer

Audrey Jean Swinamer 69 of Wileville, Lunenburg Co., passed away Wednesday 05 September 2012 in the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Digby, she was the daughter of the late William and Daisy (Height) Silver. Audrey worked at the Riverport Fish Plant until it was lost to a fire in 1981. After that she took up grading courses and then worked at Canadian Tire, Buds Pizza and Dixy Lee Foods before gaining a position with the Bridgewater KFC which she held for 27 years until her retirement in 2008. She loved to walk everywhere and visiting her friends in her travels. She is survived by her common law partner of 40 years Ken Churchill; sons Bill Swinamer, Bobby Swinamer, Arnold Knickle; sister Lillian Silver; brother Joey Silver; Fred Silver; granddaughter Amy Swinamer; many nieces and nephews along with a large number of cousins in the Digby area. Audrey was predeceased by her sisters Jules and Marolyn. There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held 1:00 P.M., Thursday 13 September in Sweeny’s Funeral Chapel, Bridgewater, Rev. Eric Campbell officiating. A private family burial will be at a later date in Digby.
