Obituary of Joyce Zelda Wentzell

Joyce Zelda Wentzell 85, of New Germany passed away peacefully on May 12, 2012 at Rosedale Nursing Home in New Germany following a long courageous struggle with Alzheimer’s disease. Born in Nineveh, December 3rd, 1926 to parents, Henry and Winifred (Zinck) Veinot, Joyce was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by her husband, Bruce. (November 25, 1974), and brother Boyd, General and foster brother, Guilford. Joyce is survived by daughters, Karen (Tony, decreased) Panfili, Toronto; and Claire (Larry Power), Aulenback Point. Grandchildren, Shannon (Jason Dicks) Lover Branch; Sherrene, (Arthur) Delaney, New Germany; Mark (June)Panfili, Pembroke, ON; Martina(Jeff) Cuillerier, Sutton, ON. Michael Panfili, Toronto, ON. Great –grandchildren; Josee Conrad-Pelletier, Chloe and Adrian Dicks; Christa and James Panfili; Monique and Luc Cuillerier. Step-Grandchildren: Larry (April Gouchy) Power, St. John’s NL; Laurie Power, Calgary, AB; Melisssa (Johnny)Casey,Calgary,AB ; Step-Great-Grandchild Charlotte Casey, Calgary and many nieces and nephews and friends. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Rosedale Nursing Home and Dr. Diane Edmonds for the loving care and compassion extended to Joyce during her years living at the home and her last days at Rosedale. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Rosedale Nursing Home, New Germany, or any charity of your choice. Visitation will be held at Sweeny’s Funeral Home in New Germany from 7 pm to 9 pm on Monday May 14, 2012. Funeral service will take place at Sweeny’s Funeral Home in New Germany at 3:00 pm on Tuesday May 15, 2012, Rev. David Whynot officiating.
