Obituary of Ralph Lawrence Zinck
Ralph Lawrence Zinck
68, of Newcombville, Lunenburg Co., passed away peacefully at South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater, with his family by his side on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Born in Bayport on September 8, 1943, he was a son of the late Fred and Florence (Goodwin) Zinck. He was an avid outdoors man, enjoying hunting and fishing. He took pride in his vegetable and flower gardens and enjoyed spending time in the kitchen, cooking meals and baking cakes and cookies. Surviving are his wife the former Corrine Zwicker; daughters, Charlotte (Alden) Raymundo, Lewisville, Texas; Diane (Kirk) Barry, Newcombville; grandchildren, Justin and Olivia Raymundo; Grace and Anna Barry; step grandson, Evan Raymundo; sisters, Jane (Carl) Tanner, First South; Mazie Grant, Mahone Bay; brothers, Geoffrey (Doris) Zinck, First South; Murray Zinck, Middle LaHave; Aunt Millie Barry, Mahone Bay; several nieces and nephews. Visitation 7-9 p.m. Sunday, March 18 at Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Funeral 2 p.m. Monday, March 19, at Bridgewater United Church, Bridgewater, Rev. Ivan Norton officiating, reception to follow. Private interment of ashes at Newcombville Cemetery, Newcombville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Chemotherapy Unit, South Shore Regional Hospital or Bridgewater United Church.
