Obituary of Hilda Mae Arenburg

Hilda Mae Arenburg March 17 1925 – July 11 2013 Hilda passed away peacefully in South Shore Regional Hospital with family by her side. Born in Bridgewater she was the daughter of the late Addis and Rosetta (Meisner) Delong. Hilda leaves behind her beloved children, Carroll (Audrey), Bridgewater; Bridget (Wesley Uhlman), Auburndale; Andrew (Angela), Midville Branch; Jannette (Wayne Joudrey), Conquerall Bank; and Barry (Kim), Midville Branch. Grandchildren; Matthew (Sarah), Jonathan (Kathy), Nikole, Andrea (Peter), Cody (Ashley) Great grandchildren, Dylan, Lilly, Jasmine, and Connor, and her precious pup Cuddles. Hilda was predeceased by her husband Lawson in 2007. Hilda enjoyed spending her summers at Ponhook Lake in her trailer; she loved the company of all her friends there. Hilda belonged to the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Bridgewater, and enjoyed attending service and helping with the Ladies Aid while she was still able. She also enjoyed going to local card parties, and having Friday night cards at her home with her friends Marlene, Gary and Velma. Hilda was a resident of Harbour View Haven, (formally of Wileville) for the past 10 months and the family appreciates the wonderful care she received there. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Chapel, Bridgewater. Visitation will be Sunday July 14 in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater from 7-9pm, and where a Celebration of Life service will be held at 11am Monday. Pastor Paul Jensen officiating. Burial will follow in the Midville Branch Cemetery, Midville Branch. Family flowers only.
