Obituary of Sylvia Eunice Corkum

Sylvia Eunice Corkum 90, formerly of Bridgewater, passed away on April 27th at Harbour View Haven in Lunenburg. Sylvia taught for 17.5 years in many schools in Lunenburg and Queens Counties, and also in Shelburne County. She worked at a variety of other jobs on the South Shore and in Halifax. Sylvia had appreciated the care and friendliness given to her at Harbour View Haven where she has happily resided for more than 2 years. Funeral Service with Pastor Angela Stewart will be at Sweeny's Funeral Chapel in Bridgewater on Wednesday, May 1st. There will be an hour of visitation before the 2pm service. Burial will be in the family plot in the New Cumberland Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to Harbour View Haven, Lunenburg, the Bridgewater Inter-Church Food Bank or Senior Wheels of Bridgewater.
