Errol Lorne Crossland
89, East Dalhousie, Kings Co., passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at Rosedale Home for Special Care, New Germany, where he had been residing. Born in Walden, Lunenburg Co., he was a son of the late Stanley and Lorena (Veinotte) Crossland. Errol was self-employed woodsman and farmer. He also often worked for Department of Transportation and enjoyed the apple harvest in Marlboro, Mass; for many years. He enjoyed, hunting and fishing and his storytelling. His wife and family were very dear to him and home was where he was happiest. Errol was a member of St. Cyprians Anglican Church, East Dalhousie, where he was warden and caretaker for many years. He worked hard for the community fair and could always be found on the pulling grounds where he too sometimes would have a horse. After a stroke in 2001, he was lovingly cared for by his wife, Greta and assisted by family and home support workers who were all greatly appreciated. For the past year he was cared for at the Rosedale Home for Special Care, New Germany. We would like to give special thanks to everyone for his care. In 1959, he married Greta (Fancy) and they began their happy life together.
