Obituary of Marjorie Dorothea DeLong

Marjorie Dorothea DeLong 91, Barss Corner, Lunenburg Co., passed away on Monday, January 7, 2013 in Rosedale Home for Special Care, New Germany, where she had been residing. Born in Upper Northfield, she was a daughter of the late Maynard and Gertrude (Veinot) MacKay. Surviving are her son, Carroll (Paulette) DeLong, Meisners Section; grandchildren, Gregg and Christine; brother, Vernon MacKay, Upper Northfield. She was predeceased by her husband Vernon DeLong; sister Ruth Uhlman; brother, Carroll MacKay. Visitation 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 4895 route 10, New Germany. Funeral service 2 p.m. Wednesday in Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, Upper Northfield. Rev. Catharine House and Rev. William Gustafson officiating. Burial will follow in Barss Corner Community Cemetery, Barss Corner. Family flowers only, donations may be made to the charity of choice.
