Obituary of Hazel Dickinson
Hazel Dickinson (nee Williams)
Born in Raymond, Alberta ON October 21, 1933, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, January 10, 2013 in the ICU of the Victoria General Hospital Halifax. She was predeceased by her husband, Stewart, a son Raylo; 3 grandsons, Matthew, Raymond and Mark. She is the last of her generation following her parents Sherman & Cleo Williams and 10 siblings and spouses. She is survived by daughter, Kathy Dorey, son-in-law Neil; grandchildren, Bryce, Janelle, Kira and Austin; daughter, Chris Dickinson with grandpuppies, Molly and Susie. Hazel was a lifelong devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved to knit, crochet, quilt, read, bake fabulous bread and always found ways to help others. She will be truly missed. A special thank you for the ER staff at the South Shore Regional Hospital, especially Dr.’s Miller and T. Nestel and the MSICU staff at the VG particularly Dr.’s Miner & Moeller and nurses Debbie & Jenna – your kindness and care for Mom will always be remembered. Funeral will be 2 p.m., Monday, January 14, 2013 at the LDS Chapel, Abercrombie Road, New Glasgow with viewing Sunday 7-9 at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, January, 19, 2013 at LDS Chapel, 337 Aberdeen Road, Bridgewater. Donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
