Obituary of Charles Owen Durling

Charles Owen Durling 78 of Barss Corner, Lunenburg County, passed away Saturday, October 26, 2013 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Springfield, Annapolis County, he was the son of the late Herbert and Dorothy (Salsman) Durling. Charles enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, being out on his 4 wheeler with his grandson and out among his Christmas trees. Also enjoyed many years of being a Truck Driver. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Alice (Jodrey); daughters Lois (Merle) Deal, West Dalhousie; Nita (Robert) Durling Cullen, Bridgewater; Tina (Robert) Gabriel , grandson Lance Wheeler; Union Square; brothers Doug (Agnes), Dartmouth; Basil (Helen), Bridgewater; Jimmy (Betty), Springfield and Emery, Springfield, along with many nieces and nephews. Charles was predeceased by his sister Frances Hatt and brother Russell. In keeping with Charles wishes there will be no visitation at the funeral home or service. The family will be holding a Celebration of Life of Charles, Sunday November 3, 2013 from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M., in the Barss Corner Community Hall. Please bring all your happy memories and stories.
