Marcel Henry Emino
91, Simpsons Corner, Lunenburg Co., passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater with family by his side. Born, December 18, 1921 in Simpsons Corner, he was a son of the late Everett and Mildred (Crouse) Emino. After serving in the Canadian Army, he built and operated “Emino’s Garage”, Simpsons Corner, where he worked as a mechanic for 37 years fixing anything on wheels with an engine. He served as a councilor for the Municipality of the District of Lunenburg and was also a former school board member for a few years. He loved driving his Harleys, snowmobiling, boating and waterskiing from “Frolic Inn” on Lake Mush-a-Mush. The “Flying Dutchman” also made his mark in stock car racing, often winning with #3 – a Ford coupe, of course. Surviving are his wife, the former Marguerite Mailman; son, Jerry (Linda); daughters, Joye (Tommy) Kaulback; Jill (Fred) Neville; Jolene (Brian) Mailman; 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; brothers, James, Wilfred, Winfred. He was predeceased by a son, Barry; daughter, Jackie; sisters, Marie Conrad, Florence Doherty. No visitation at the funeral home by personal request. A private family service will be held in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, New Germany. Pastor Bethe Benjamin-Cameron officiating. Private family interment in Hillside Cemetery, Simpsons Corner.
