Arlene Marilyn Harvey
73, Ellershouse, formerly of New Germany, Lunenburg Co., passed away wrapped in the arms of her granddaughter Derrianne, with her husband, daughter and son by her side on Thursday, January 3, 2013 in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in Northfield, she was a daughter of the late Percy and Mamie (Eisnor) Veinot. She was an active member and past president of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary, branch 102, New Germany. Surviving are her husband, Donald Russell Harvey; daughter, Teresa (Garth) MacKay, New Canada; son, Ron (Pat) Lohnes, Owen Sound, On.; sisters, Glenice Lohnes, Upper Northfield; Fern Zinck (Fenton), Dayspring; Gloria Cunningham, New Germany; brothers, Percy Jr., (Barbara) Veinot, West Northfield; Elmer Veinot, Bowmanville, On.; Roy (Mercedis) Veinot, Stayner, On.; Gerald (Elsa) Veinot, West Northfield; Dale Veinot (Debbie), Bowmanville, On.; George Veinot, Ab.; step children, Jacqueline, Jennifer, Andrew; grandchildren, Chad, Joey, Jeremy, Derrianne, Angela, numerous step grandchildren, great grandchildren and step great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by son, Derek Lohnes; brothers, Robert Veinot, Wallace Veinot. Memorial service 11 a.m., Monday, January 7 in Bridgewater United Church, Rev. Bethe Benjamin-Cameron officiating followed by a Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary tribute service. A reception will follow. Private interment in Pleasantville Cemetery, Pleasantville. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary or charity of choice.
