Obituary of David McKean Hiltz

David McKean Hiltz 69, Whynotts Settlement passed away suddenly on Tuesday May 14 in Bridgewater. Born May 8th 1944, he was a son of the late Warren and Lillas (Wamboldt) Hiltz. David grew up in Martin’s River. David was a hard worker, and worked for the Nauss Brothers Ltd for more than 30 years. David was retired, but you wouldn’t know it. He always helped out with odd jobs. David was a family man, and always enjoyed the family gatherings, and seeing the smiles on all of their faces. He loved his truck, and also had a soft spot for animals “Jake”. David is survived by his wife of 39 years Grace (Feener), Whynotts Settlement; daughter Rachel Hiltz (Anthony Daniels), Bridgewater; son Shawn (Nanette), Bridgewater. Grandchildren Taylor Hiltz and Bailey Bush both of Bridgewater. Many nieces and nephews. Brothers, Eric, Dartmouth; Garnet, Martin’s River; Wayne (Colleen), Martin’s Point; Ervin (Sherrie), Martin’s River; half brother Donnie (Ann) Wamboldt, New Cumberland. Besides his parents David was predeceased by a baby sister in infancy, two brothers, Theodore “Jack”, and Gary. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Visitation will be Thursday May 16th from 7-9pm, and funeral service will be 11am on Friday May 17th both in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Rev. Frances Boutilier officiating.
