Obituary of Douglas Ruben Joudrey

Douglas Ruben Joudrey 88 of Lake Centre, Lunenburg County, passed away Monday 25 March 2013 in Hillside Pines Home for Special Care, Bridgewater. Born in Lake Centre, he was the son of the late Dawson and Mary (Minnick) Joudrey. Douglas is survived by his daughter Linda Barrett, Camperdown; son Gary Joudrey, Lake Centre; sisters Marion Croft, Hebbs Cross; Ellen Meisner, Lake Centre; grandchildren Brian and John (Darlene) Hamill both of Bridgewater; Sharon Hamill, Bridgewater; Darcey Joudrey, Lake Centre; Sarah Joudrey, Ontario; many Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Clara (Nowe); sisters Grace Corkum and May Joudrey; brothers Robert and Henry Joudrey. Visitation will be held 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 PM Wednesday 27 March in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater and from where the funeral service will be held 11 AM Thursday 28 March, Rev. Catharine House officiating. Burial will follow in the Lake Centre Cemetery. Family flowers only, please. Memorial donations in Douglas memory may be made to the charity of choice.
