Obituary of Nola Fayetta Mailman
Nola Fayetta Mailman (nee Crouse)
81, of Springfield, Annapolis Co. passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2013 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Springfield, she was the daughter of the late Allister and Mary Jane (Ernst) Crouse. Nola has been associated with the Blue Grass Association of New Canada since the beginning. She was a great painter and she loved being outdoors, in her garden, camping and campfires. She enjoyed playing her accordion where she played with the music group, Cheroke Raiders for several years. Nola always loved being the host of anything, even if there were only one other person. She is survived by her husband Shirley; son Kevin, Conquerall Mills (Jean Mailman, Quispamsis, NB); sister Kay (Elmer) Rand, Center Burlington; brother Raymond Crouse, Summersworth, New Hampshire; grandchildren Jenny Mailman, Dartmouth; Jonathan Mailman, Halifax; Stephanie Mailman, West Clifford; Josh Mailman, Calgary; Leah Mailman, Bridgewater; Crystal Zinck, Upper Northfield; Jessica Fyler, Rothesay, NB; Caroline Fyler, Martha’s Vineyard, Mass; 5 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; Nola was predeceased by daughter Jane; sons Dale and Timothy; sisters Hazel Law, Annie Rasmussen, Jean Chambers and Marion King; brother Russell Crouse. Visitation will be 2 – 4 p.m., Saturday, January 12, 2013 in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 4895 route 10, New Germany. A celebration of life service will be 2 p.m., Sunday, January 13 in Springfield Baptist Church, Springfield. Rev. Robert Gates officiating with a private family burial to follow in the church cemetery. Family flowers only, please.
