James Alec MacLeod It is with deep sadness we the family of James Alec Macleod announce the passing of our beloved father, husband, friend. He passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at South Shore Regional Hospital with wife by his side. Born in Bridgewater on October 5, 1959, he was the son of the late Hugh and Ruth Macleod. He loved to be on the water and his love of music could be heard from all around. James touched the lives of so many and was always there to lend a hand to those in need. Even through his struggle with cancer over the past year, he always stood strong, fought, and looked forward to the future. James will be greatly missed and never forgotten by his wife Lorraine; daughter, Candice (Tiffany); son, Matthew (Gillian); brother, Daniel (Ann); nieces, Amanda (Jason), Shaylynn, Jennifer. Step children, Jason (Susan), Greg (Adel); step grandchildren, Morgan, Cole, Quinn. Special friends, Chrissy (Eldon), Jerome (Linda) and so many others. He was predeceased by aunt, Jean (Schmeisser) and brother, John. There is no visitation by family request. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Saturday March 23 pm in Sweeny's Funeral home, Bridgewater. Family flowers only. Donations to be made to the family.
