Obituary of Helen Dorothy Rennie

Helen Dorothy Rennie (Moore) On Tuesday April 30th with sad hearts we said goodbye to Helen, 81 of Bridgewater. A beautiful face and a loving smile will be missed by all. Helen was a daughter of the late Dennis and Dorothy (Barkhouse) Moore. Helen was a member of the armed forces serving as a registered nurse in the 50’s. As a spouse in the military, she and her husband travelled though out Canada, and overseas. Helen retired as a registered nurse from the pediatrics ward of the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater in 1996. Surviving are a daughter, Cathy Sheldrick , Ottawa; son John (Julie) Toronto. Sisters Hazel (Dennis) Zwicker, Mahone Bay; Frances Wentzell, Scarsdale; Florence Wentzel, Middle Cornwall; Ethel (Merrill) Wentzell, Hebbville; Ellen (Calvin) Wentzell, Maplewood; Marie (Jacques) Perron, Maitland; Irene (Carter) Mader, Newburne; Ardith (Hendrick) Bos, Barss Corner. Brothers George, Newton New Hampshire; Arthur (Bonnie), Hubbard’s; Douglas Newburne; Llewellyn (Patricia), Barss Corner. 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Helen was predeceased by her husband John Rennie, 2 sisters and their spouses, Annie and Arnold Wood, Margaret and William Mansfield. Brother in laws Royce Wentzel, and Roger Wentzell. Sister in law Beulah Moore. Son in law Mervin Shekdrick. Visitation will be Thursday May 2nd from 1-3 and 7-9pm in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Funeral service will be 10am Friday May 3rd in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater with Pastor Sam Jess officiating. Burial will follow in the Barss Corner United Baptist Church Cemetery, Barss Corner. Flowers accepted.
