Obituary of Donald C. Renton

Donald C. Renton 96 Bridgewater passed away Wednesday February 13th at the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Stilesville NB, he was a son of the late John and Elizabeth (Randall) Renton. Donald was a faithful member of the Kingdom Hall Jehovah’s Witnesses, Cookville, and then New Germany. He enjoyed driving school bus for many years in Lunenburg County. Many years ago Donald brought back some maple trees from his father’s sugar bush in Stilesville NB, and replanted them in Middle LaHave. He spent many hours making maple syrup, and maple sugar for everyone. Donald also enjoyed spending time in his own garden where he was very proud of his crop. Donald is survived by his daughter Donna Foulkes, Middle Lahave; son Tom (Jeanette) Renton, Upper LaHave. Sister Gwen Renton, Florida. 4 Grandchildren, David (Heather) Foulkes, Prospect; Susan Foulkes, Halifax; Neil Renton, Valleyfield, Que; Eric Renton, Victoria, BC. 2 Great Grandchildren; Spencer, and Quinn Foulkes both of Prospect. Several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents Donald was predeceased by his wife Patricia (Emma Muriel) (Bayers), 4 sisters, 2 brothers. A memorial service will be 2 pm Saturday February 16 in Sweeny’s Funeral Chapel, Bridgewater. Mr. Jim Woolner officiating. Family flowers only.
