Obituary of Sanford Roland Rhodenizer

Sanford Roland Rhodenizer 94 of Dayspring, Lunenburg Co. passed away on Friday July 12, 2013 in Mahone Nursing Home, Mahone Bay. Born in Dayspring, he was the son of the late Roland and Lina (Robart) Rhodenizer. Sanford served with the Canadian Army during World War 2 and then as a Millwright at the dockyards in Halifax. He enjoyed the outdoors along with hunting and fishing and his winter trips to Florida with his wife Sophia. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family and is survived by many nieces and nephews. Sanford was predeceased by his wife Sophia; sisters Anita, Ines, Lina, Leona, Faye, Doris and Nedra; brothers Arthur, Neil and Shirley. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Raymond, the staff of Mahone Nursing Home and also to his Care Givers, Deloris Mauger and Vicki Conrad. Visitation will be held 7:00 to 9:00 P.M., Thursday July 18 in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater and from where the funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M., Friday July 19, Pastor Doug Porter officiating.
