Obituary of Calvin Lorenzo Tumblin

Calvin Lorenzo Tumblin 98, Crescent Beach, Lunenburg Co., passed away on Friday, May 3, 2013 in Harbour View Haven Nursing Home, Lunenburg, where he had been residing. Born, February 10, 1915 on the LaHave Islands, he was a son of the late Zenas Alonzo and Clara Elizabeth (Dagley) Tumblin. Calvin was a life-long fisherman and loved the outdoors. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Surviving are his wife, Mabel Selena (Bush); Rosalita Tumblin, Randall (Debra) Tumblin, Megan Tumblin, Brandon Tumblin, Krista (Darrell) Welsh, Murray (Pauline) Bushen. He was predeceased by son, Rodney Hubert; sisters, Minnie Bush, Matilda Bushen, Lalia Bush; brother, Ralph. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m., Tuesday, May 7, preceding the 2:30 p.m. funeral service which will be held in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Rev. Vivian Moores officiating. Burial will follow in Peaceful Hill Cemetery, West Dublin. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or charity of choice.
