Obituary of Eric Laroy Veinot

Eric Laroy Veinot Bridgewater age 82 yrs passed away Jan. 19 2013 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Newcombille, Lunenburg Co. he was the son of the late Hughie & Hilda (Hebb) Veinot. He worked at Maritime Lumber Dist. 1947. Had his own truck for 3 years, Worked at Brady`s Ltd and Scotia Trawlers Lunenburg on a Scallop Dragger as cook for 28 yrs until he retired in 1990. He loved to go hunting and dances at the Legion also weekends at the cottage on Molega Lake. He was a loving, caring person to his second wife Melba, daughters and families also his grandchildren. He was a member of the Legion Branch 24 of Bridgewater. He is survived by his wife Melba of 40 years; daughters Gail Veinot, P.E.I.; Sharon (Donnie) Selig, Hammond Plains; Valerie (David) Hayward, Bridgewater; Carolyn (Edward) Llewellyn, Italy Cross; sister Jewel Veinot; step son Wayne (Connie) Hayward; grandchildren Graham, Casely, Aaron, Adam Selig; Kelly, Korie Hayward; Carrie, Clarise Llewellyn; step grandchildren Granville, Graham Hayward; Julie, Kathy Hayward; Steven (Stephanie)Wyman. He was predeceased by brothers Hugh Jr., Frank, Ronald Leslie sisters, Thelma, Jennie, Evangeline twin sister Joyce; step children Earl, Marie; son-in-law Donald Wyman and step granddaughter Cara. Visitation will be held 7-9 P.M., Wednesday 23 January in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater with a public Legion Tribute at 7 P.M. Funeral services will be held 2 P.M. Thursday 24 January also in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater, Rev. Willis Ott officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater.
